General Terms and Conditions
These general terms and conditions of the company VV Invest, s.r.o., with registered office at Krajinská Cesta 679/21, 931 01 Šamorín, ID No.: 48 080 870, registered no. 103108/B, VAT ID No.: SK21 2005 5520 (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator") regulates the reservation of accommodation and related services at the CARD Hotel at Krajinská Cesta 679/21, 93101 Šamorín (hereinafter referred to as the "Hotel") via the website www.cardhotel.sk as well as reservations made by telephone, e-mail or in person.
By visiting the website www.cardhotel.sk, using it and making a reservation for the services of the operator, you confirm that you have read, understand and agree to these general terms and conditions (Returns).
The Operator is entitled to unilaterally change these General Terms and Conditions, whereby such change shall be effective against you as a customer from the date of publication of the changed version thereof, whereby the version of the General Terms and Conditions valid and effective on the date of booking shall be decisive for your reservation. In the case of reservations made by telephone, e-mail or in person, you can consult the currently valid and effective version of the general terms and conditions on the website www.cardhotel.sk. At your request, the operator will send you the current valid version of the General Terms and Conditions by e-mail containing a link to the current valid and effective version of the General Terms and Conditions, sent to your e-mail address provided when you first contacted the operator's hotel at the time of booking.

Hotel Reservation Card
Online booking
By making a reservation on www.cardhotel.sk, the operator will consider your will to purchase the requested accommodation and services offered by the operator and you are entering into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the operator. By making a reservation, you also confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, are authorized to use this site and accept responsibility for all payments made on your behalf or by credit card. You also confirm that all information provided is true and accurate.
The Operator is not committed to the services you have booked until your booking has been confirmed by the Operator and the Operator has received payment in full or credit card information to guarantee the accommodation.
For booking via the website www.cardhotel.sk you need to fill in the booking form with all the necessary information about the accommodation (arrival date, departure date, number of persons). At the next stage, you can choose the specific room type and additional services (services related to the accommodation) based on the price and payment terms published by the operator. At the last stage, you will have to fill in a form with your personal details and enter your payment and credit card information.
You are informed about online payment options directly on the hotel's website, through which you make your online reservation. The payment terms can be as follows: either you pay the price of the reservation without the possibility of cancellation and refund with immediate payment via your credit card, or you can be given a booking option where the payment will be made only at the reception of the hotel and the credit card details are entered in the form for the purpose of guaranteeing the accommodation, whereby the hotel will carry out a so-called credit card pre-authorization.
After filling in all the required data in the online form, you confirm the order with the obligation to pay.
You will receive a confirmation email from the hotel containing a "booking confirmation" which will contain all the details regarding your booking, together with the booking number and, if immediate payment has been made, confirmation of payment.
On the website www.cardhotel.sk we always list the price per room per night and the total price for the accommodation. In the booking form during the online booking process you have the possibility to see the EUR price. Payments are only accepted in EUR. The total amount that has been deducted from your credit card in EUR is always included in the invoice attached to the confirmation email.
The payment method and terms of payment are specified in the booking form. The operator has the right to extend or restrict the individual online payment methods for online booking.
If immediate payment was not made at the time of booking and the services booked are not paid for until the hotel reception, we require the customer's credit card number, including the validity of the card, for the purpose of guaranteeing the accommodation. We only verify this card and carry out a so-called credit card pre-authorisation (blocking of the amount on the credit card) for the amount of the price of the booked services for a limited period of approx. 30 days (the length of the blocking period also depends on the terms and conditions of the credit card issuer). Thus, no funds are withdrawn from your account, only the validity of the card is checked and whether there are sufficient funds in the account to cover the cost of the hotel reservation made, so it is not a withdrawal of the relevant amount from the client's credit card. Payment for the stay should be made at the hotel reception. Payment can only be withdrawn from the account if payment (or partial payment) is required in advance at the time of booking or if cancellation is in breach of the hotel's policy.
Once you make a reservation, you agree to the applicable cancellation policy (cancellation fees), which applies if you do not show up at the hotel without cancelling your reservation or if you cancel your reservation.
All cancellation or modification requests must be made via the booking form through which you made the booking or by email to reservation@cardhotel.sk. You will be notified of your request by the hotel by return confirmation. In this confirmation you will also find the amount of the cancellation fee, if any, according to the current cancellation policy.
Email reservation, reservation made by phone or in person at the hotel
Email booking:
For this reservation, you have the option of contacting the operator by email at the contact details published on the website www.cardhotel.sk in order to obtain a quotation or to book the services. In the email or fax, you will indicate the basic requirements for the services (number of persons, number and type of rooms, arrival and departure dates, your name and surname as well as the names and surnames of any other persons staying with you, or any other requirements you may have).
Upon receipt of your enquiry, the hotel will contact you. In case your enquiry was comprehensive and we do not need any clarification, we will send you a quotation to your e-mail address (the address from which your enquiry was received), prepared according to your requirements stated in the enquiry. We can also send you a quotation to a different e-mail address than the one provided in your enquiry, if you request it from the hotel.
The validity of the quotation we have sent you is 24 hours from the moment of sending it, and sending the quotation does not constitute your right to request the selected services, price, capacity, etc..
In case you agree with the price offer received by the hotel, please send us a confirmation email, the content of which will show that you accept the price offer and confirm (book) the services ordered.
In the event that the hotel does not receive your binding acceptance of the price offer within the specified period (within 24 hours of sending the price offer), the hotel is not bound by the price offer and we are not obliged to provide you with the services specified in the price offer, or specified in your request. If you have in the meantime paid for the selected services in accordance with the price offer, we will refund the amount paid within 14 days of the expiry of the price offer by wire transfer to your bank account from which you made the payment.
If the services you have selected are up-to-date and valid by the time the hotel receives your confirmation of the quotation sent, we will send you a "provisional booking" confirmation by e-mail containing the details of the services you have selected, your name and surname, booking number, arrival and departure date, room type, number of guests and their age, the price of your stay, payment terms, etc.). In this confirmation email of the provisional reservation, you will also receive information and documents for the payment of the price of the services you have selected and booked (payment terms, due date, variable symbol, method of payment) and instructions for payment. If you do not provide the correct variable symbol (reservation number) when making the payment, the customer's payment cannot be attributed by the hotel, and the payment is therefore deemed not to have been made.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the hotel and you, the due date for payment of ordered services is 24 hours from the time the payment details are sent to your email (or otherwise provided to the customer).
If you do not pay the price of the services you have selected and booked properly and on time (in the correct amount with the correct variable symbol and within the due date) or if the credit card pre-authorization (blocking of the price of the services you have booked on the credit card in case the payment for the services booked is agreed at the reception of the hotel) has not been properly carried out, your advance booking is cancelled and your right to advance booking is extinguished. The hotel will send you an email notification of the cancellation of the advance booking and you will not be entitled to any compensation or other financial compensation.
If you pay the price of the services you have selected and booked properly and on time, you will be sent a confirmation of receipt of payment and a "booking confirmation" by email (to the email address you provided when making the booking), with the booking reference number. This booking confirmation also contains basic information about the stay, the participants of the stay and the services booked, as well as additional information (check-in, check-out, options for additional services, etc.). The reservation number serves as a confirmation of the reservation, as contact information for any further actions related to your reservation, including claiming the reservation upon arrival and checking in at the hotel.
In the event that you do not receive an email confirming your booking and receipt of payment, even though you have made payment, we recommend that you contact the hotel to check the status of your booking and receipt of payment.
Reservation by phone, reservation made in person at the hotel:
When booking by telephone, you have the option of contacting the hotel by telephone at the telephone numbers published on the hotel's website www.cardhotel.sk, in order to obtain a quote for the services you have selected. The telephone conversation may be recorded for the purpose of controlling and improving the quality of services provided by the operator.
If you do not have an e-mail address, the hotel will agree with you individually on the method of communication and delivery of documents.
Reservations can also be made in person at the hotel reception, where payment can be made either in cash (subject to applicable law) or by credit card via POS terminal.
The provisions set out above in the section on email reservations apply and are binding on the telephone booking procedure and on reservations made in person at the hotel.
Common provisions for reservations:
Until you receive a "booking confirmation" from the hotel, your booking is not binding on either party (neither on you as a customer nor on the operator) and you are not entitled to the service you have requested or to the service specified in the quotation received from the hotel. The reservation becomes binding for both parties only at the moment of payment - crediting the funds to the operator's bank account or, if payment for the reserved services is agreed at the hotel reception, at the moment of credit card pre-authorisation (blocking the price of the services you have reserved on the credit card), unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
In case you are making a reservation for the benefit of a third party and you are not a participant of the stay (service), you are obliged to provide the name and surname of the adult person, e-mail address and telephone number for whose benefit the reservation will be made.
Reservations can be modified or cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy, depending on the date selected.
The hotel price list is published on the website www.cardhotel.sk as well as at the hotel reception. Prices are final and include value added tax. However, the price does not include local tax, which you are obliged to pay directly to the hotel according to the local tax rates applicable under the relevant legislation at the time of your stay.
The form of payment of the price for the services ordered depends on the method you have chosen for booking these services.
The customer is informed about the payment options directly on the hotel's website www.cardhotel.sk, through which he/she makes an online reservation. For bookings not made online via the hotel website, payment can be made by wire transfer or payment through a payment gateway, unless otherwise specified by the operator. In the case of a service order made in person at the hotel reception, payment will be made directly at the hotel reception in cash (subject to the conditions laid down by applicable law) or by credit card via a POS terminal.
The Operator reserves the right to extend or restrict individual payment methods or to determine the payment conditions for booking in relation to individual methods of booking services or individual booking dates.
The date of payment of the booked services is the date on which the funds in the correct (invoiced) amount are credited to the operator's bank account.
The bill (tax receipt) will be issued on the day of your departure from the hotel directly at the reception, unless otherwise agreed. If you wish to receive a tax receipt in the form of an invoice issued in favour of a legal entity or a natural person - entrepreneur, you must indicate this in advance when you make your reservation.
In the event that you cancel your reservation for any reason or for no reason, or if you do not check in without cancelling your stay for any reason, you shall not be entitled to a refund of any payment already made, nor shall you be entitled to any damages and/or any financial or non-financial compensation, and the operator shall be entitled to a cancellation fee from the moment of cancellation or the day after you do not check in without cancelling your stay.
The following cancellation policy applies for reservations made at the CARD Hotel:
- For cancellation or if you do not cancel your reservation and do not enter the stay you have booked, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the price of the reservation from the price of the services booked and confirmed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The hotel has the right, at its discretion, to reduce the cancellation amount taking into account the circumstances.
Requests for modifications or any changes to the reservation (such as changes of name, date, room type, etc.) must be notified to the hotel by email to reservation@cardhotel.sk or by phone on +421 221 010 127.
However, any change to the booked services is only possible after the hotel has confirmed the booking of the services with the written consent of the hotel, and you are not legally entitled to change it. If the hotel agrees to the change, you will be notified of any change made by return confirmation. In the event that the change cannot be made, you will also be informed of this by the hotel.
At the moment of conclusion of the distance contract for the provision of services, the customer is not entitled to withdraw from the contract for the provision of services within the meaning of Section 19(1)(l) of Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on consumer protection and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts.
The Operator shall not be obliged to provide you with the ordered/booked services in the event of force majeure and the occurrence of circumstances excluding liability. Circumstances excluding liability are considered to be an obstacle that has arisen independently of the will of the operator and prevents the operator from fulfilling the obligation, if it cannot be reasonably assumed that the operator would have averted or overcome this obstacle or its consequences and, furthermore, that the operator would have foreseen this obstacle at the time the obligation arose (e.g. In such a case, the operator is obliged to inform you of this fact without delay, including the expected duration of the obligation. In this case, the customer will agree with you individually on how to deal with the situation. However, you shall not be entitled to compensation for any damage caused by circumstances excluding liability (force majeure).
Accommodation rules
Hotel Card only accommodates guests over the age of 18.
For your requests and wishes we are available around the clock at the reception of the Card Hotel.
Only guests who are registered for accommodation can stay at the hotel. Check-in is understood to mean that the guest presents an ID card, passport or other valid ID to the reception upon arrival at the hotel. Check-in is possible from 14:00 on the day of arrival and check-out is until 11:00 on the day of departure.
Your requests for early arrival or late departure must be arranged in advance with the Card Hotel by email reservation@cardhotel.sk or by phone +421 221 010 127 and may incur a charge, which will be communicated to you in advance by the hotel.
In case you do not arrange a later check-out with the hotel, the late check-out fee for late check-out made before 12:00 is 20€, for check-out after 12:00 the late check-out fee is 100% of the price/night of the room.
In the event that you do not check in to your reserved room at the hotel reception no later than 24:00 on the day of arrival, the hotel may transfer the room to another client and the hotel operator will incur a right and cancellation fee. This does not apply if you have previously agreed with the hotel for a later arrival and later check-in at the hotel.
Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 11:00.
The hotel is quiet at night from 22:00 to 06:00. The guest's behaviour in the hotel during night time must not disturb other guests. Loud television volume, loud talking, singing, loud conversations in the hotel corridors, etc. are not appropriate. Social events can only be held in the hotel after 22:00 with the consent of the hotel management.
In the event that you intentionally cause damage during your stay at the Card Hotel, you will be liable to the operator for the damage caused.
We are liable for any damages incurred during your stay at our Card Hotel in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code and other generally applicable laws. The hotel accepts no liability for the belongings brought in by guests.
Valuable items and cash can be stored at the Card Hotel reception. Jewellery, money and other valuables are only the responsibility of the hotel operator if they are taken into custody at the hotel reception.
The hotel reserves the right to accommodate only guests over 18 years of age.
Smoking is prohibited in the Card Hotel, except in designated areas, unless otherwise agreed.
Pets are not allowed in the Card Hotel unless otherwise agreed.
Vehicles can be parked in the hotel car park in compliance with the general parking and traffic rules, while the hotel operator is not responsible for any damage or theft of the vehicle or items in the vehicle. Parking is only possible in designated spaces.
Complaints Procedure
The handling of complaints in relation to the services of the Card Hotel is governed by these Complaints Regulations.
In our Hotel Card you have the right to accommodation, catering services, as well as services that are connected with accommodation and the sale of goods in the agreed or usual range, quality, quantity and time.
You have the right as a consumer (according to § 2 (a) of Act No. 250/2007 Coll. ) to complain about the services and goods provided by us in terms of their scope, quality, quantity and date, in accordance with Act No. 250/2007 Coll. 372/1990 Coll. on offences, as amended, in conjunction with Section 52(4) of Act No. 40/1964 Coll. of the Civil Code, as amended.
The relevant provisions of Act No. 513/1991 Coll., the Commercial Code, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Commercial Code") shall apply to claims of clients - legal entities and natural persons - entrepreneurs who are not in the position of consumers.
In accordance with Section 18 (1) of the Consumer Protection Act, this Complaints Procedure duly informs you about the conditions and method of exercising your rights under liability for defects (hereinafter referred to as "complaint"), including information on where you can make a complaint.
The hotel operator is liable to you for defects in the service when it is provided or in the goods sold when the customer takes them over. As a customer, you are obliged to inspect and check the goods when you receive them and/or the service when it is provided.
You are obliged to make a claim for defects in the services (claim) without undue delay after you become aware of the reasons for the claim, but no later than the next working day, otherwise your right to make a claim will expire. When making a claim, you must quote your booking reference number. Claims made after the deadline will not be taken into account by the hotel operator.
We will accept your complaint or any complaint through the reception of the Card Hotel (personally or by e-mail to the hotel address reservation@cardhotel.sk or the complaint can be sent to the hotel address in writing) or through the hotel manager and we are ready to deal with it on the spot at the reception or with the hotel management to your satisfaction.
We will assess your claim individually and deal with it immediately, if it can be dealt with immediately. In other cases, your claim will be processed within 30 days of receipt at the latest. We will issue you with a confirmation of the claim, and the responsible hotel employee will record the claim in the claim report, stating the circumstances of the claim. You will always be informed in writing of the settlement of the claim.
You have the right to a proper and timely rectification, free of charge, of the identified deficiencies of a legitimate complaint.
The warranty period is governed by the provisions of Sections 620 and 621 of the Civil Code if you are a consumer, otherwise (in the case of entrepreneurs) by the relevant provisions of the Commercial Code. By accepting the service and/or taking delivery of the goods, you as a consumer acknowledge that you have been informed of this Complaints Procedure.
Alternative dispute resolution
In case you as a consumer are not satisfied with the way we have handled your complaint regarding the quality of accommodation, services and goods provided on the spot with the reception or hotel management, or you believe that we have violated your consumer rights, you have the right to contact our Hotel Card with a request for redress (complaint) to the email address reservation@cardhotel.sk . Your complaint will be investigated and possible compensation will be proposed to you based on the applicable rules and legal regulations.
If your complaint is not satisfactorily resolved or answered within 30 (thirty) days from the date of its dispatch, you have the right to submit a proposal for the initiation of an alternative dispute resolution to the alternative dispute resolution entity pursuant to Section 12 of Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Dispute Resolution of Consumer Disputes and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts.
The competent body for alternative dispute resolution of consumer disputes with the Card Hotel operator is the Slovak Trade Inspection, which can be contacted for this purpose at the Slovak Trade Inspection, Central Inspectorate, Department for International Relations and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bajkalská 21/A, Post Office Box 29, 827 99 Bratislava, or electronically at ars@soi.sk, or adr@soi.sk, or another relevant authorised legal entity registered in the list of alternative dispute resolution entities maintained by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Slovak Republic (the list of authorised
entities is available at https://www.mhsr.sk/business/consumer-protection/alternative-resolution-of-consumer-disputes-1/list-of-subjects-of-alternative-resolution-of-consumer-disputes-1 whereby you have the right to choose which of the above mentioned alternative dispute resolution entities to turn to.

Withdrawal from the contract
The hotel may also withdraw from the contract for any of the following reasons, unless these or any of them are expressly excluded as grounds for withdrawal in the contract:
a/ the right to cancel the contract was agreed in writing with the hotel customer at the time of booking,
b/ if there are circumstances for which the hotel is not responsible and which make performance of the contract impossible
c/ if the customer has unpaid overdue debts to the hotel operator
g/ if the services of the hotel have been ordered or booked by the customer with incorrect, misleading, untrue or misrepresentative information about the customer or other material facts
h/if the hotel has reasonable grounds to believe that the use of the hotel's services could jeopardize the orderly operation of the hotel, the safety of the hotel, its employees or its guests, or damage the hotel's public reputation or goodwill.
Final provisions
These general terms and conditions and legal relations arising on their basis are governed by Slovak law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these general terms and conditions, including a dispute over the interpretation of these general terms and conditions, in the event that an amicable settlement is not reached between the parties to the legal relationship, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the general courts of the Slovak Republic.
The provision of hotel services is governed by the relevant provisions of Act No. 40/1964 Coll. of the Civil Code, as amended, and other generally binding legislation. If the customer is a consumer, which is a natural person who is not acting in the course of his business or profession in connection with a consumer contract, an obligation arising therefrom or a commercial practice, Act No 108/2024 Coll. shall also apply to the provision of services. on consumer protection and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts, as amended.
If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, ineffective or unenforceable, such invalidity, ineffectiveness or unenforceability shall not affect the remaining provisions of these General Terms and Conditions.
The Operator reserves the right to change these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions shall be valid and effective as of the date of their publication on www.cardhotel.sk on 1 November 2024.
